And, so I rest my case.

I could do in the absence of your sweet grace,
For, what worth is of worth of water to a wilted flower?
Though a surreptitious desire and a denial conflate
And while sulk I a li’l more in my sole crafted melancholy
And to draw onto a mortal close and never dwell upon
This labyrinthine dalliance, this nemesis of a past quantum,
This ineffable propinquity, this serendipity’s wait.

No sir, I yearn for no more than your obsolesce, of being, existence.
For I’ve had it good and, hence I rest my case!

Aren't you my Raymond?

Sometimes, it’s hard to explain what you’ve felt is right
How the sound of that name, has left a smile for that night
Numb knees, breathless breath, a clinchy fright
What shall thy name be? a delirious delight?

You take me to places I’ve never been,
You take me to places inside of me, I’ve never seen,
Are you love? Are you life? Or everything in between?
What shall they name be?  A beautiful mirage unforeseen!

An illusion, an existence, I’ve grown fond,
Aren’t you a dream? Perhaps my poetry! Or beyond
As words to the writer, as precious as a diamond,
What shall thy name be? Aren’t you my Raymond!

*This one's an oldy I thought I'd lost. Appears I haven't.
Talk of old times and random poetry! :D

The Ocean’s fool.

Through the haunting hall of memories
That’s now scarred of red and blacks
He walked with daggers through the back,
That he drew upon himself
Keep walking,
The owl has hooted downfall
For guilt my boy is your pal
Live with it and in death
For your own grave will call out
Of names your mind had barred.
What is your flight then?
Words? Diplomacy? Stance?
The fallen leaf you walked over,
It’s tree is hounding you now.
Your option is to run for life while you’re dead and not.
Whimpering cries of the sand,
The dark night waves have heard.
Where ever you may swim,
Your life lies at the waters’ base.
With deeds you drew upon self
Revenge is not my thing, but you,
'You' are the ocean’s fool

She smiles.

So she smiled at you today,
The smile that could light up the stadium of your heart,
That you dint let.
She smiled at you, with those shrilled laughs,
It still echoes, you know.
You wouldn’t admit it, she knows.
So as she lets you play this game,
Of light and shadow, of hide and seek,
While a part of her is dying each day
She smiled at you.
Every time she did,
She sent a part of her your way
Which you gracefully returned
That she kept safe in her eyes’ diamond drops
So she smiled, she always does
Sometimes, for you.
Sometimes, for the belief in you, that she still believes.
Sometimes, for the dreams she dreams of you.
Sometimes, to show she is as happy as you.
But mostly, because your silence has painted thousand lies,
She knows it all, she smiles!

I’ll wait the endless wait!

In every breath, in every blink
In every question hard to sink
In every sunset, every rise,
In every meet that won’t suffice

In every warm summer’s offset,
In the glimpse of a dancing silhouette,
Like the burning fire on the melting ice,
Even in the inexplicably intertwined ties

In the dead silence of the night,
In the battle of heart and the might,
In every debt, life be the price
Whatever the result be, of destiny’s dice

In the war of truth and fright
With the sudden promise of a bright light
In every moment big or trivial
In every delight unreal

In each carefully woven reverie
In every plea and prayer
In hopeless hope and plight
As every castle builder’s right

In many tries and painful retreats,
In the little denials and sweet deceits
In the very aberrant life’s symmetry
In this rush of mad poetry

 Against the designs of fate,
In the hours of dawn, dusk and late,
I’ll wait at this guarded gate,
I’ll wait this endless wait!

This was penned somewhere in January. Brings back innocent memories... Happy reading! :)

True lie.

To every askance silenced,
And to watch the dance of pretence
To match your will with deed
I saw, to fires what you did feed
And still games do play
Are these lives or dolls of clay?
While we watch and that alone
And clutch onto what’s gone
Why do shadows cry?
Why do dreams die?
And the truth nothing but a deceiving lie!

Walls and hope!

There are limits on the desires for dreams,
Or are there?
Aren’t they just walls, to silence the screams,
To keep out wants, unfair?

It’s when one reaches the finality of what one wants,
That you grapple with the walls of can’ts
Or are they walls or just the boundaries we’ve drawn?
Don’t after the game, they go back to the same box, even the king and the pawn?

The walls show no mercy no love.
But when all one needs, don’t they…
Shoulder a cry, suppress the sigh, keep an unsigned vow?
And too, the questions out of the way
When one has nothing left to say?

Then there are walls, tough as lies,
When hurting your knuckles wouldn’t be wise
But devastate the wall that now stands grown
Just in the way fundamentally built down
Involve the logic, not the trick
You bring them down, brick by brick!

How exemplary can walls built be,
That is high so to keep a thicket turmoil free;
But also adequately short at rest
That allows the breeze, the sunset to nest!

As to building confining walls in the mind,
Let’s build no walls, but bridges that bind.
No wall be too high, to deep, to cold,
When destiny let play and hope to unfold.
Higher than walls are hope we along bring,
For, to hope is after all a very good thing!
