In denial.

We will fall together,
But not in love,
In denial.
I'll mark my demesne
You conjure your reasons
There will be a unison
Never will be.
We will fall together,
But not in love,
In denial.
Time is to play its favourite game
Of chase run-run chase
In a life like maze.
You deny confronting your heart
And, I my stance.
We will fall together,
But not in love,
In denial.
It rips you apart every time you deny
It kills me, when it does.
In your moment of personal rebellion
In the betrayal of my memory
We will fall together,
But not in love,
In denial.

Truth or otherwise.

How do you tell a lie from the truth,
And truth from a lie?
What's simpler than a lie,
truer than truth?

To have made a lie of truth
And a truth of lie.
To have known and yet,
Ignored the distinction of the two.

He who bespoke truth, is courageous
So was the one that lied.
How do you know the lie from truth,
And truth from a lie?

How do you tell a man of honour,
by his hidden truth or an honest lie?
You've lived your life with yourself now,
Have you told yourself the truth or did you even try?

Lies are convenient, the truth is such that hurts,
why then do you complain of lies and of the truth?
For I have seen lie dwell in truth
And truth asleep in lie's arms.

If the truth birthed a lie
Then of the lie, truth did brew too,
How would you defend a lied truth
Or the lie that was true?

If you were me, or I were you,
What would you and I choose of the two?
From where I stand staring into my own eyes,
Am I free of my truth or true of my lies too?

Seek and meet!

Sitting by the passing clouds I see,
In a blink, what I beheld and that you let free
Yet, we meet at a crossroad unknown
I don't reside in me,
The one I was, the one you knew
After you, perhaps never will be.
And, you are-
I ceased to recognise that, day
long gone...
In a retreat, in a dark corner,
The ink has bled,
Words have scarred,
Met on paper, time has wheeled.

Today, a beat does not skip
My eyes do not seek
Those certain traces haunt no laughs,
The roads do not call.
A smile lingers at my lips' corner still
In a renewed confidence or so I think,
My eyes have met yours,
Yet, another time inks feed,
Words bleed,
In midst of all, I know you do still read.

Perhaps this isn't the end,
For who are we really?
Only just pieces of chess?
Games will roll, destiny will play
There'll be time that'll stay.

The world will shift,
In a white wash,
In a blink,
In a place borrowed from a fairytale
When the cosmics collide,
In a parallel universe,
In a wishful world of dreams,
Beyond measures of time and realms,
Deep inside the quiet slumber
In a world that isn't this,

In a sweet surrender, in no retreat,
You will seek, I shall meet!

And, so I rest my case.

I could do in the absence of your sweet grace,
For, what worth is of worth of water to a wilted flower?
Though a surreptitious desire and a denial conflate
And while sulk I a li’l more in my sole crafted melancholy
And to draw onto a mortal close and never dwell upon
This labyrinthine dalliance, this nemesis of a past quantum,
This ineffable propinquity, this serendipity’s wait.

No sir, I yearn for no more than your obsolesce, of being, existence.
For I’ve had it good and, hence I rest my case!

Aren't you my Raymond?

Sometimes, it’s hard to explain what you’ve felt is right
How the sound of that name, has left a smile for that night
Numb knees, breathless breath, a clinchy fright
What shall thy name be? a delirious delight?

You take me to places I’ve never been,
You take me to places inside of me, I’ve never seen,
Are you love? Are you life? Or everything in between?
What shall they name be?  A beautiful mirage unforeseen!

An illusion, an existence, I’ve grown fond,
Aren’t you a dream? Perhaps my poetry! Or beyond
As words to the writer, as precious as a diamond,
What shall thy name be? Aren’t you my Raymond!

*This one's an oldy I thought I'd lost. Appears I haven't.
Talk of old times and random poetry! :D

The Ocean’s fool.

Through the haunting hall of memories
That’s now scarred of red and blacks
He walked with daggers through the back,
That he drew upon himself
Keep walking,
The owl has hooted downfall
For guilt my boy is your pal
Live with it and in death
For your own grave will call out
Of names your mind had barred.
What is your flight then?
Words? Diplomacy? Stance?
The fallen leaf you walked over,
It’s tree is hounding you now.
Your option is to run for life while you’re dead and not.
Whimpering cries of the sand,
The dark night waves have heard.
Where ever you may swim,
Your life lies at the waters’ base.
With deeds you drew upon self
Revenge is not my thing, but you,
'You' are the ocean’s fool

She smiles.

So she smiled at you today,
The smile that could light up the stadium of your heart,
That you dint let.
She smiled at you, with those shrilled laughs,
It still echoes, you know.
You wouldn’t admit it, she knows.
So as she lets you play this game,
Of light and shadow, of hide and seek,
While a part of her is dying each day
She smiled at you.
Every time she did,
She sent a part of her your way
Which you gracefully returned
That she kept safe in her eyes’ diamond drops
So she smiled, she always does
Sometimes, for you.
Sometimes, for the belief in you, that she still believes.
Sometimes, for the dreams she dreams of you.
Sometimes, to show she is as happy as you.
But mostly, because your silence has painted thousand lies,
She knows it all, she smiles!
